He is actually scoring more than in the regular season, he is scoring instead of Gerald Green who is not getting those kind of minutes because of D.
It is hard to argue that now, although it would have sound foolish at the begining of the season. Glad to have him on our team, give props to Morey and DAntonio.
Beloved in Phoenix, lukewarm reception in Toronto.... PJ is a quality signing. The three's are a bonus, but that's not why he was recruited. It was his toughness and the need on the team for a tweener on defense, and some of that Ron-Ron intimidation factor. He's our hardwood bruiser (Trev comes in second) We don't win bunch of games this year without Tuck, and that includes the playoffs. It's not just the rebounds he gets. It's the SPECIFIC rebounds he goes for that are MANDATORY, and the timing of his hustle. He's the guy running to save the ball from being out of bounds when James has already stopped running. And, he's the guy who will take the fouls to keep James and CP in the game. Selfless if you ask me, and worth every dollar. If you're a fan, you may also want to thank Mr. Tyson Chandler for talking up MDA to Tuck. WHen you've been in the league that long, and you've gone through some serious ups (Dallas) and Downs (NY/PHX), you see coaches for who they are. I mean, no player outside of Chandler Parsons could convince someone that it was worth playing for Kevin McHandsEverywhere. James Harden was traded here (thankfully) because he could have easily passed us up as a FA with better coaches on nearly every team. Yes, yes, Kevin was our coach during a trip to the West finals, but that's largely due to Beard and Dwight having a great year, along with anomalies like Corey Brewer stepping up and my guy JSmoov arguably being the best guy on the court in the final minutes of Game 6 in the Racis--err Staples Center.
Haven't we inked him for the next 3 years after this seasons completion? He is ours for the long haul. Luc and Ariza will be important to keep.
Let's not ignore the fact that @ashleyem hate PJ Tucker and thinks Micheal Beasley or Rudy Gay would have been a better option. We can't seep that under the rug, guys.
PJ tucker is essential to this team.... very essential... The rockets are the perfect machine, but we need every part working.... or this wont work.... thank God for being healthy. I hope that continues.
You made me google it P.J. Tucker signed a 4 year / $31,878,148 contract with the Houston Rockets, including $26,477,799 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $7,969,537 You´re right!
