LOL 8 wins less, 3 seeds lower, stat-chasing, stealing rebounds from teammates, and holding back franchise players/all-stars FAN
A lot of “not caring about regular season awards” going on in here I see. You do such a convincing job of showing us how unimportant this award is to you when you spend all this time screeching that other people shouldn’t care. Give it a rest no one cares about your faux elitism.
"Does LeBron still deserve MVP consideration despite his recent slump?" Spoiler Rob Parker: No way, no how. In fact, he should be disqualified because he checked out in January after Christmas when he stopped playing. If you go back & look at those six weeks, he was not LeBron. He did not give max effort. He did not make others better. In fact, it was the opposite. He was the reason that team tanked. If LeBron's not gonna play defense, I'm not gonna play defense. If LeBron's not gonna give max effort, I'm not gonna give max effort. He does not deserve to be considered. Greg Jennings: Stop it. Rob, leave. Absolutely LeBron deserves to be in the MVP talk. We're talking about a guy averaging 26/8/8. The expectations are so great for LeBron to carry teams. When I look at James Harden, does he have the better team? Yes. Supporting cast? Yes. Will his numbers be that much better? Probably. He's had better shooters without having to shuffle everything & acquire new talent. Broussard: He's not in the MVP discussion because there isn't a discussion. It's Harden by a mile. Who else? LeBron can be 2nd but it's a distant 2nd. Harden would have to fall off the cliff for anyone else to win it. Or get hurt. I said 2 days ago they are the most efficient offense in NBA history. As great as Chris has been, he's missed 18 games. Harden is the engine in Houston. There's no discussion. If I had to vote today, it's possible LeBron is 2nd but now i have to consider Giannis, Russell in the race. It's Harden by a mile. If LeBron averages 35 and they win at a 90% clip the rest of the way & Harden plays as he has, Harden still has it. It's MVP of the season, not post ASB. Jennings: If LeBron does that & was struggling in January, he turned around their entire season. Broussard: It's an entire season. Jennings: His January was that bad? Broussard: Harden's entire season has been that good. Jennings: Can you repeat the question? Does LeBron still deserve MVP consideration? Rob: NO! Broussard: No one else is being considered other than Harden. Jennings: I ride with LeBron anywhere we go. Harden is MVP at this present point. It's not close right now, he's been great. Broussard: He might be 2nd but it's a wide gap. If Harden continues to do what he does, is there anything LeBron can do? Jennings: If LeBron turns this team around & they do what you said and they win at a 90% clip, I think you have to consider LeBron even stronger. Broussard: If he averages 30/9 in March & wins like Houston, people will jump and say he's MVP.
Lebron is allowed to take an entire month off while leading a dysfunctional and losing team, yet is still an MVP candidate James Harden was left off All-NBA entirely under the same circumstances Do not ever tell me the media is fair to James Harden
Best player on best team? ☑️ (See Curry ‘15, ‘16) Best stats? ☑️ (See Westbrook ‘17) Both? Jimmy Harden ‘18 ☑️
