Black Friday 2008

I ended up buying a 42 inch Panasonic Viera plasma 720p tv a week ago for $799. It was normally $1,000 bucks. I love the picture. Also picked up a panasonic blue ray player that was normally 400 bucks but was on clearance for $200.


Anyone know of any good deals on Laser printers? Dell has a few good offers but i was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations.

camped out at frys and picked up this bad boy. 40 inch sony bravia 1080p.

it was a long tough night. but i think it was worth it.

Did they get sold out fast? That's the model I wanted to purchase...but the Samsung LN40550 has slightly better specs at $950 after tax/shipping.

 

I missed out the last couple of years for BF (last big BF purchase -Walmart BF Laptop back in 2005), but I needed a laptop this year.

Went for the $349 HP Laptop at Office Depot. Stood in line from 10:30p last night til' opening, freezing my butt off. Got the laptop - typing on it right now as we speak.....so far so good! Also got 2 50-pack CD spindles for $10.

Then moved onto Walmart after the BF massacre. Got the Walmart Food Processor for $5 and a bunch of $2 DVDs!

Then went to JCPenney and Kohls - wife got some clothes from JCPenney, but we didn't see much at Kohls.

But to end my BF, I got interviewed by a local TV station while walking back to my car w/ my wife in the rain. Wrong place, wrong time.....raining, looking like crap, and being up since 6am on 11/27. My wife is [sarcasm]anxious[/sarcasm] to see how much of a dork I look on TV.

 

Houston? What station so we can all see what a dork you are!

 

Hehe, lucky for me, it's in Dalass. I didn't see myself on the 6 o' clock news, but might be on the 10.

i saw someone leave with a 52" sony bravia 1080p 120hz tv for $1,300....wasn't even a black friday deal...tv was just an old model and the last one in the store. manager marked it down from around $1,450 to $1,300.

Been thinking about taking the Mac plunge for quite some time so I need some advice. Should I go for the gimped Air or stick with the entry level one?

Macbook 2.0 Ghz - $1149
Air 1.6 Ghz - $1299

The only thing stopping from getting the sleeker Air is that is pretty much a weak version with no optical no drive, no ports...basically a downgraded macbook pro with a slim fast profile.

I bought a Denon receiver from them a couple of days ago. Of course, my Chase credit card's "fraud protection" kicked in and my order couldn't be processed. I had to call them back and clear everything up.

 

Mine was backordered as well, but I just logged onto Sony Style and saw that it's been shipped. They even provided a FedEX tracking number. I never received an email, even though they said they would notify me once they shipped it. You might want to log in and check your status.

Once I receive this I'll compare it to the Panasonic one I got from Costco.
