    think first

Qatar is home to the U.S.-led coalition's Combined Air Operations Center at al-Udeid military base.
This sophisticated coalition facility monitors air campaigns in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and elsewhere in the region.
The high-tech center is filled with monitors and computers that can track fighters, bombers, refueling tankers
and drones throughout the Middle East and operates 24/7.

The Hill is reporting that U.S. officials believe that Russian hackers planted a false news account , which is friendly to Iran and critical of Trump, in Qatar's state news agency, contributing to tensions among key U.S. allies in the Gulf,

yet another eg of Trump being a useful idiot to Putin, bigly

What the... if it was some actual strategic long term.. no, wait, that just doesn't compute with Trump

Well, Qatari government did wonder if Trump would last in office. That's all it took.

Putin job is so easy. Ego buttons, so many to play with.

Mr. trump continues his staggering string of stupid acts that even his 15 year old troll, the OP, can't match. The United States has its largest base in the region in Qatar, with over 11,000 troops stationed there doing a variety of really, really important things, like attacking ISIS in Iraq and Syria, supporting our allies in the region, deterring Iran, and providing facilities for our European allies, the one's trump craps on all the time and who are also fighting ISIS. The man is an idiot. A man-child who is methodically destroying anything he can get his hands on, foreign or domestic, and trolls like RocketsWhatever lap it up in blissful ignorance. This extremely important US ally could tell us to leave to tomorrow. It is their country, after all, or do trump's supporters want to invade and conquer that little nation of 3,000,000. Hey, the little man-child would have something new to tweet about as he thumps his chest in fake macho idiocy.

Anyone who hasn't figured out by now that something is seriously wrong with Mr. trump has something seriously wrong with them, with all due respect headed their very confused way.

So the US's Qatari base is used to defend despotic regimes that cut people's heads off for practising the wrong religion, and the US's ability to countinue this support is in jeapordy because of Trump's tweet?

No wonder the illiberals are up in arms.

Son, you're so ignorant it's amazing. For someone that knows so little to post so often, it's a sad joke.

    "It's Qatar, who cares?".

Spend about an hour on Google about Qatar and check back. You'll learn a lot.

If you're ignorant, may as well flaunt it.

This ranks up there with your idea of recognizing Taiwan despite the fact no other country in the world would follow suit.

Off topic, but they should be recognized as their own. Big bad China getting everyone to fall in line and Taiwan is too small to fight for independence.

    Thanks Nixon! LOL.

In a utopian world, agreed. But since we live in the real world, the choice between the two countries is pretty obvious. Some decisions are tough to make; this one is not.

Tweeting that a country deserves to be shunned.... the same country that allows us to have a massive base in their own ****ing country is stupid....

Pure stupidity. How much do you want to bet that he either blanked and totally forgot there was a base there or just never bothered to know about the base there?

I can't believe I have to spell out such a common senses notion.

A low-level Russian employee like him probably has little knowledge of where U.S. bases are, to begin with.

Let's ask ourselves, what kind of ally are these countries in the Middle East?

    Intellectual allies?
    Philosophical allies?
    Ethical allies?
    Moral allies?

Does allying ourselves with these countries speak to our values? Do we even care about our values?

    Do we even have values?

BTW, cheap oil isn't an intellectual, philosophical, ethical, or moral value.

I think you would make a great ambassador to Qatar, you should write to president Trump and ask for that job.
