Guess Barber might end up costing a bit more than I thought

Here's the list of who have signed:

Of those not signed in top 20 rounds:
2 Kessinger just had his season end
    3 Brewer is still playing
4 Barber is going to be overslot, so needs the other deals done first
9 Battenfield just had his season end
11 Gusto juco arm, possibly waiting on overslot
16 Jordan juco bat, possibly waiting on overslot
18 Campbell HS arm, probably overslot if he signs
19 Krabbe. Don't know why he hasn't signed yet, but his Twitter says he's an astro.

Looks like this is shaping up to be fairly drama free.

They’ve freed up something like $600k so far. Unless some other underclassmen are getting above slot, Barber is going to get 2nd round money.

I am as well. The bat is plus and there's a possibility he could play CF.

    Undrafted Free Agents

In the past, there were players who apparently signed as undrafted free agents with the Astros but never appeared on a roster of a minor league affiliate. I'll only update this part if they appear on a roster.

The First 10, with Slot Values

    1-32: Korey Lee ($2,257,300) - signed for $1,750,000 = +507,300
    2-68: Grae Kessinger ($953,100)
    3-106: Jordan Brewer ($549,000)
    4-136: Colin Barber ($410,100)
    5-166: Hunter Brown ($306,800) - signed for $325,000 = -18,200
    6-196: Matthew Barefoot ($239,000) - signed for $150,000 = +89,000
    7-226: Blair Henley ($188,900)
    8-256: Luis Guerrero ($160,300)
    9-286: Peyton Battenfield ($148,400)
    10-316: C.J. Stubbs ($142,200) - signed for $85,000 = +57,200

    Overslot signings after 10th round

The maximum slot after the 10th round is $125,000.

    Kevin Holcomb - $150,000 = -25,000

They got $750k Net underslot. I don’t know what Brewer is expected to get but Barber probably got 2nd rd money and there may be enough for a couple other guys to get overslot.

If my calculations are correct, they're about 100k under if all unreported bonuses are at slot, plus another 250k before they lose a pick.

That’ll probably get taken by some combo of Dickey, Reese, Jordan, Gusto, and Campbell. Guys drafted in the 30-40th still probably out of play. Barber had better be good.

Shouldn't they be signing the guy that got the first hit in game 4?

Watched some scouting vids on him...the bat speed is real. Very impressive.
