If you're going to say it's already posted, the least you can do is link the original. I can't seem to find it which seems odd.

Yeah. After more searching all I see is a thread about Wade weighing in on how long the Carmelo talks have gone on and some dumb thread that claims the Nets were sold?

This news is huge. It's a whole new ball game. Denver now has one month to work out a deal and they're starting over from scratch.

Truth. Or way to compel Nugs to negotiate seriously, and quickly?

Hope other teams back off too so that Nuggets lose him and get nothing in Summer. They wanted way too much and Nets didn't play that ish.

Does NY have room to give him the max as a FA? I asked about them first, since it seems NY is his 1st choice.

Oh C'mon now, those threads have already in the back. No sense digging through the archives especially when this thread has a better title.

LOL at Denver. I knew they were asking too much, they should have said yes at the four team trade, or when NJ offered Favors and two picks. They really pushed NJ to the breaking point when they "threatened" to trade Melo to NY if NJ didn't provide the 5 first round picks. Now that NK has backed off and Melo has said he's tired of the drama, I'm pretty sure other teams will be hesitant to trade for him. Even if teams are content with a rental, its hard to see Melo staying motivated enough to play tough basketball in the playoffs with his sights set on NY after the season is over. I hope Denver ends up letting him walk away for nothing, or trading him to NY for a lottery protected first round pick.

Denver should tell Melo they're not trading him and not going to be a part of a S&T and put the pressure squarely on him to get a deal and agree to an extension.

Good job Denver. Everyone was telling you that demanding all that crap would bite you in the ass, and now it has. Have fun getting a TPE and a crappy draft pick in 2016 from the Knicks now.

    Idiots.

Denver has to tell this guy they will only trade him. If he doesnt agree to any extensions? They will under no circumstances help him in a S&T to New York at all. He will make whatever other teams can give him and nothing more. That will straighten out this boy and his agent real quick if they are gurnteed to lose alot of money in the offseason. Real quick. New York cannot give him a max contract without their help. They should do that right now and say he wont get the max.

Yes but then they get absolutely nothing out of it.

Sure you teach him a lesson but that trade exemption has the potential to help their team alot more than nothing (like how Utah was able to get Jefferson after losing Loozer).
