    No Biggio's last game thread?

I didn't get a chance to see the game yesterday but it got me misty seeing him behind the plate in the ESPN highlights yesterday. Is he going to start at catcher again today?

    I hear he will...

I remember being a snot nose kid when Biggio started in what...mid 1987 as a catcher.

Thanks, Biggio for all those years!

Biggio to catch for Astros on Saturday

    By BRIAN MCTAGGART

CINCINNATI — Craig Biggio will start for the Astros at catcher on Saturday against the Atlanta Braves at Minute Maid Park, marking his first appearance behind home plate since 1991. Biggio began his career at catcher and moved to second base, the outfield and back to second base.

Biggio, who will play the final game of his career Sunday, will catch one or two innings before returning to second base. He had originally hoped to catch when Roy Oswalt pitched, but with Oswalt missing his final start Biggio will catch Brandon Backe instead.

"I'll catch one inning, and if it goes well I'll catch two," he said.

Biggio had the catcher's gear on prior to Wednesday's game when he caught Backe in the bullpen at Great American Ball Park.

"I thought that was pretty cool," interim manager Cecil Cooper said.

Anyone here going to the game?

I'm glad I got to see him play on his last trips as a player to Chicago and Milwaukee.

No, Biggio didn't cry although I thought he would during the postgame interview on the field.

It would have been sweet to see Bagwell come out and Biggio and Bagwell walk down the tunnel together.

That's it for the Killer B's folks.

Kudos on a hell of a career in Houston, TX, Mr. Astro.

It's the end of an era in Houston. Time for a new era.

I was holding them back too. I mean, I grew up watching this guy play. I don't think there will ever be an athlete that will mean as much to me as Biggio did because I've been watching him play since the days when it was just a game to me. I think he almost lost it when Patti was reading him that letter from a kid in the stands.

Congrats Biggio truly a class act. Thank God the game was on TBS here, for some r****ded reason they did not show it on fox sports today. Biggio has been in the league for a grand 20 years I am 23 so there isn't a memory of the Astros that he wasn't apart of. Just makes me that much more upset when I was like 10 he was signing autographs I was the next one over and he finished. As well at my last Astros game I saw this year, it was batting practice and Biggio hit one right at me in the Crawford Boxes and some chump kid stuck his glove out in front of me. Biggio only reason why I bothered to go to a game this season. Seeing the Astros play next year just will not be the same.

Thank you, Mr. Astro, for everything. You were a class-act, and you played the game the right way. You were my favorite player. You made dirty shirts and pine tar cool to me as a kid, and as an adult, I respect that you still go that hard. If I ever have a son, and he wants to play baseball, I want him to play it the way you did.

Are today and yesterday's games up for download on Astros.com yet? I'm trying to find them, but looks like the download button is greyed out.

I saw the Biggio farewell thing on mlb.com .. it showed the ovation before his first AB, then his AB, and his last AB and the ovation after that.. it was great..

Fitting that his last hit was a double.
    Good times Biggio.
