Ryan Anderson contributed 3 fouls against Shanghai ninjas. I guess Anderson a lil rusty. No points were a big surprise!
There aren't many redeeming qualities in Jackson, and I'm usually all for taking risks on young wings with some untapped talent. - Short wingspan - Out of control - Shooting is bad to awful - Countless off the court problems Not exactly the same as Chriss, but similar in that he's not going to ever do much, despite his perceived "upside"
Let's not be crazy people the young man still has talent, but when kids get picked that high and then find out they are not going to be the man anymore it takes time to find there role. Some get distracted and the lifestyle gets the best of them. Some can rebound and some can be out of the league in a instant. The main thing I see with Josh is that he never had a vet in PHX to show him the ropes. That team was extremely young and the front office while he was there was very suspect. I think he kinda checked out on them PHX. Only problems I see are off the he needs to clean that up. Basketball wise I see a young kids who's game is still developing. I look at his highlights(last season, not rookie year) against solid competition and I think in the Rockets system he could be a fit if he wants to work for it. Just saying Rockets got to win now but keep a eye on the future as well.

These are exact same negatives on Jimmy Butler when Butler came out. In fact, Jackson's upside is Butler. Positives: - plus run jump athlete - another ball handler - can create own shot - aggressive to rim, not afraid of contact - pesky perimeter defender, averages 1 steal/game - block shots/rebounds with energy/explosiveness rather than length - 6'8 - still only 22, former 4th overall pick
My thought is why not they have upside, Jackson’s value is at an all time low, and we have a need. OP said steal him and Bruno. I like it. We get something for nothing if it works out; and if it doesn’t work we got nothing for nothing. That is a hedged deal, can’t hurt us only help or net even.
he makes $7 plus mil this season and just under $9 mil next year. for a horrible player like him. yeah right. good thing LTS wouldn't come near him
Didn't you say his upside was a bigger Khris Middleton? Middleton and Butler aren't really that similar. Middleton is more shooting focused with just okay athleticism while Butler is really aggressive and ball dominant with great athleticism and strength. You're kind of just throwing names out there. Might as well be comparing him to Mike Miller.
Sorry D-rock, I can not endorse a move for Josh Jackson at this time. M Chriss deal has soured any risky deal for an athletic bonehead for at least this season. Maybe in summer of 2020.
I should have said his NBA comparison when he came out was Butler, I believe he is more like Middleton.
