I dont know how he gets more respect than he already has. Half the people I know think he's already passed LBJ as the best in the entire NBA. Most of the others put him at #2. And two time reigning finals MVP? I guess people could build more statues and name more schools after him or something.

This is a ridiculous thread. Cupcake joined a 73 win team (which just happened to beat his own team) because this would assure him a couple of easy championships. And you seriously think he deserves more respect for this b**** move!? Championships are desirable because they are hard to win. If you don't even have to compete to win a championship (like the Warriors in 2017) then what's even the point of winning that title. It becomes worthless to me, just like Cupcake's career became worthless to me when he joined the Warriors. What a waste of talent.
Durant is an all time great offensive player who made an all time weak ass move. There was a wrinkle in the CBA that allowed it to happen and he capitalized on it. But to say he's the best player in the league because his stacked team won is silly, especially since the were winning at a record pace before he arrived.
Go to the other Durant thread. There is lengthy discussion about how he longs for other people's approval. Yes, in his mind, he HAS TO PROVE HIMSELF. And Golden State is exactly the team he should not have gone to in order to prove himself.
