Members Deny Led Zeppelin Reunion Tour Rumors Group Says Discussions Never Took Place POSTED: 11:13 a.m. EDT October 24, 2002 "It's been a long time" since Led Zeppelin rock and rolled -- and the three surviving members of the group say it's going to be even longer. Singer Robert Plant, guitiarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones have issued a statement denying they're getting back together for a tour. They say recent published reports about a pending tour are "completely speculative" and they don't know where the stories originated. The members said it's certainly not from their management. Page, Plant and Jones said in the statement, "There is no tour, there are no plans for a tour and no discussions about any tour have taken place." The group -- which recorded albums and toured in the late 1960s throughout the '70s -- disbanded shortly after the death of drummer John Bonham in 1980. Page and Plant have since recorded albums and performed live together as recent as 1998, but not under the name Led Zeppelin. As a group, Led Zeppelin has recorded such classic rock tracks as "Stairway to Heaven," "Rock and Roll," "Whole Lotta Love," "Kashmir" and "All My Love."
