    <I>A fake newspaper story with inflammatory quotes from Missouri coach Gary Pinkel has some members of the Oklahoma Sooners fired up, even after learning the quotes were fabricated.

    In what looks like a story that was printed off the Kansas City Star's Web site, Pinkel is falsely attributed as saying Oklahoma seemed "very Vulnerable [sic] right now" and that there were defenses in the Mid-American Conference that were "just as good" as Oklahoma's.

    Several misspellings in the quotes, as well as an incorrect date on the story, should have been a tip-off, but that didn't stop the story from being distributed to Oklahoma's players and coaches on Monday.

    Oklahoma co-defensive coordinator Mike Stoops initially thought the quotes were real until informed by reporters. Neither Stoops nor head coach Bob Stoops said they knew where the story came from. Missouri coach Gary Pinkel declined to comment.

    Although the fraud has been exposed, "Quote-gate" has already incensed some players.

    <B>"You want to call us out?" Garland safety Eric Bassey said. "We'll just see what happens." </B>

    Linebacker Lance Mitchell said he felt like he'd been stabbed in the back, even when told it was unlike Pinkel to wave a red flag in front of the Sooners.

    <B>"Well, it's already waved," Mitchell said. "There's no taking it back now until after the fourth quarter. Hopefully, we'll see their white flag."</b></I>

    Maybe if the players weren't so ****ing stupid, they'd have won best college sports program.

    Good to see some other Horn fans will join me in the West End, which looks like the NASCAR Winston Cup Series when the Okies take it over. Horn fans have been known to congregate on the balcony of the Cadillac Bar on Friday night before the game. After the Horns win, make sure you hit up the Across the Street Bar, off Mockingbird. I talked to the owner, and he said they're buying 120 kegs for the weekend.

    yes, for the most part

    the metal roof on the shop is bent and needs to be replaced but nothing major

    it missed us, nailed my uncle though... I can't get through to see if he's ok yet
