I bring this up because we might be able to score him for an MLE since we were not able to get rid of Tracy, now we can take on a "less than desirable" contract, pick up Daniels, who is starter quality, and have a young, athletic wing to take us further down the road. Yahoo link to article
Weird - so I'm the only guy who thinks he's vastly overlooked? Of course he's not the same as he was in Dallas, but I remember at a time there was debate over whether he or Josh Howard should start or be traded. He had a few lousy years where he had a marginal impact with limited minutes. Last season I thought he was extremely effective. MqD has two strong points: his wing defense and constantly moving without the ball. During the season, he tied for second in offensive rebounds per game by a guard with only 31.5 min per game. In a way his game has similarities to Battier's but offensively more versatile overall while lacking a 3-pt shot.
Yeah, that was his rookie year in 2004. Someone traded Steve Francis for Tracy Mcgrady around the same time, people were debating who was better, some people thought Tracy was better than Kobe.....
i don't think we need daniels. we're in dire need of some size up front to compete with the upper echelon teams.
