    There are a lot of small nuclear reactors around many in populated places. While I was at CAL the school dismantled the reactor that was sitting right on campus in the middle of a 30,000 student school in a city of about 150,000. Even now though there are probably a few reactors at Lawrence Berkeley Labs in the hills above Berkeley. MIT had a reactor that was on the banks of the Charles that I remember jogging by.

    Some of them are in sheds and are run by boy scouts.

    Yup, the nuclear engineering department at my school have a real tiny reactor, they say it is safe as it is real tiny, but who knows. :grin:
