    It's in the nature of Head to finally result in a release of sorts.

    I think they are trying to give Luther time to latch on to another team (players waived before 3/1/2009 are eligible for playoffs with new team).

    Classy move by the organization and for Luther, it is a contract year he needs a chance to play.

    But you have to wonder, it is a bit of a risk, as we have one open roster spot now, maybe they are going to pick up Cassell?

    I remember after his rookie year thinking that he had a promising future with us. He even made some clutch shots in the reg season. However, the fact that he couldn't develop a decent dribble or an entry pass was pretty detrimental to any potential he had. Oh and the no-show in the playoffs didn't help either.

    I wonder if we are looking to add someone else?

    I would assume that his injury might have led to difficulties in obtaining one. I think he is worth a mid to high 2nd rounder though. Good Luck Luther.I respected his professionalism.

    He did hit some 3's for us back in the day. It's too bad he could never come through for us in the playoffs. I remember seeing him at IAH the summer he was drafted. Sorry he didn't pan out.
