Woman accused of stealing over 140K from local flower shop

    Really hits home; I worked there for over 7 years, that place is a factory of sadness! The owner has almost all of her employees on contract labor and works them overtime and doesn't pay them any OT. I filed a complaint with the Feds after I left and they told me I should have been paid OT but they have so many cases ect. SO, this is Karamic pay back for me, I have to really lol about this story!

    Employment places like that suck, a lot of dental assistants deal with the same thing....

    Smaller places that hire ****ty dentists, and straight out of international schools.

    True but this helps just a bit in me letting go of my time there. Uh, the lady accused did all the book work and the owner is too busy trying to live the lifestyle of her clients. The other girl who runs the shop I'm sure caught on at some point.

    Not at all unusual for a crooked bookkeeper to be able to carry on for years without getting caught. Usually it is because the owner doesn't know anything about accounting and thus implements no controls (independent auditing, even just looking over the cancelled checks each month).
