    I don't know we are now 4 no 5 games back in the playoff hunt. Do we have enough to pull through? When does the season start anyway?

    I hope we can make it.

    the astros have tons of games left with the teams ahead of them for both the wild-card and division. it is very feasible for the 'stros to make the playoffs.

    will they make it out of the first round, well that's a different story. :)

    I think so. They are, by far, playing the best baseball of anyone in the NL right now outside of Atlanta and maybe Arizona. They've gained about 5 games on both the Wild Card and the Division in about a month. With two months to go and plenty of games against all the people they are trying to catch, I think we're in good shape.

    That is, if Hidalgo stays on the bench. :)

    4.5 games behind L.A.
    5 games behind the Cardinals.

    Of course we have a shot. If there were 2 weeks left then it wouldnt happen. But, there are many games left and if we keep playing like we have been, then we will make it.

    We have plenty of games left against the Cards and Dodgers...maybe it's unlikely, but it's definately possible.

    Yet another MLB player rep has been quoted as being against a strike. Aaron Boone of the Reds has been quoted as saying: "We can't strike."

    I think this is a strong indication that the players are against the idea of halting the game at this point and time.

    And yes, I do think the Astros will make the playoffs.

    Hey, Stros'll be 3 games back after the Cards lose tonight.

    And if the Reds lose today, we're tied for second place.

    Face it, pessimists. There will be no strike, the Astros will make the playoffs, and they'll stun the world by actually hitting.

    If we win the division we will avoid Atlanta, right? But we get Schilling and Johnson. Son of a b****!

    At least we still have Daryle Ward. Our only clutch player other than, uhmmm, Terry Puhl and Mike Scott.
