    I agree w/ your assessment.

    I'd like to add I was ALWAYS a pro tanker, and I stand by that.

    We could've tanked rather than having the last 2 years of meh years and gotten 2 top 5 picks.

    This worked out GREAT for us, but had Harden agreed to a few mill less, we'd still be in a MEH situation in dire need of a star who can draw another star.

    Sorry forgot to say, now no need to tank. I wanted to tank for a star to bring another star. Now we have 1, now we just need another star to agree to come to Houston.

    Out of those 10 players, I would take 1 over Harden. And that is only if you could have gotten the #1 pick.

    Hopefully Harden pans out, I'll be rooting. It'll be fun watching a young player again and hoping he grows and gets better and better.

    Good for a playoff spot, and more importantly, great for attracting another legitimate All Star or Elite player with the cap space at the end of the year.

    Superstars don't go to small/mid market teams without great supporting casts.
