    I don't want to blame a very bad defense on one player but his lack of production is making it hard on everything

    No pass rush is killing a weak secondary. Then his non edge setting continual over playing to inside just makes you think of Clowney which i personally long ago stopped thinking about.

    They are two entirely separate incidents. DD started a thread in October saying Watt was done as an elite player. The "Merciless Island" thread was created 2 weeks ago to show the remarkable lack of production from Mercilus this year.

    You do know that thread title was a bit sarcastic? Anyway just had the thought about him talking about Merciless but every game i think Merciless hurts Watt in particular. So when i thought about hs comments being about Merciless it really makes sense to me.

    Everybody knows his salary in that locker room. Watt hitting the not appreciating that life card is a direct shot at merciless

    We save no capspace by cutting Watt.

    We should look to move him a trade however, as he's still an effective player and has only one year left. Maybe someone gives up a high pick for a 1 year rental. A trade would also free up $17.5 in capspace next year.


    With Whitney, he's obviously worthless on the trade market, but if they cut him next year they save 12M+ in capspace for the last 2 years of his contract
