    Breaking: Study Sees Link Between Booze and Sex

    [rquoter]According to the temperance scolds over at the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, you are a binge drinker if you consume more than five alcoholic beverages during one occasion. We always thought that just means you're a New Yorker, but apparently drinkers nationwide go on crazy, multi-drink "binges" just as much as we do here. A study released today finds that 15% of New Yorkers cop to "binging" at least once a month, compared to 16% nationwide.

    The report combined local survey responses with data obtained from interviews with men in gay bars and other venues. And surprise surprise, gay binge drinkers were found to be the most promiscuous; that demographic is twice as likely to have five or more sex partners as non-drinkers. Both drinkers and non-drinkers reported high rates of sex without a condom, which is bad idea jeans given the rise of syphilis among young gay men.

    And then there are those boozing, fornicating teenagers. 35% of public high school students reported drinking alcohol, 14% reported binge drinking in the past month, and 17% (one in six youth) reported having four or more sex partners in their lifetime. And those who drank alcohol in the past 30 days were more than twice as likely to have had multiple sex partners as those who did not drink (27% vs. 11%).[/rquoter]

    ...and drunk, gay, teenagers have more group sex than anyone.

    Sheesh, only 5 drinks is a binge?

    And people are only doing this once a month??

    Me, and nearly everyone I hang with, only just starts to get their buzz on after 4, if not still wholly sober.

    I had no idea I was such a bad person :rolleyes:

    Am I the only one with the guts to admit that at 4am after bringing a chick home and having gotten fairly aced - its pretty damn hard to get it up.

    The buzz is wearing off and you are fairly tired.

    I wish I could sleep during the day to combat this, then I could get myself well rested for the events ahead.

    Scarcely group sex, political sparing partner, unless your definition varies from mine. They're talking about "multiple sex partners" as in, you know, more than one over a period of time. Heck, that's supposed to be unusual, basso? And group sex? As Seinfeld would say, those stories are in the vault, and no "gayness" involved, not that there's anything wrong with that! Ah, the hippie days of yore...


    Dig the thread title, though. Gives me ideas!

    I'm there with you, and it sucks...especially the one night stands when you know you probably wont see that person again, your time is now and you cant freakin get it up!
