All this BS About Trading KT because he will b*tch and Moan about being a bench player got me wondering . . . WHO THE F*CK WANTS TO COME OFF THE BENCH [that is a good or decent player?] So . . . Here we go Will MoT be happy coming off the bench all year? DO YOU *REALLYY* THING SO?? This questions applies to once the rotation is set. Rocket River
To my knowledge...MoT has never complained as long as he got minutes. The only person who has publically said a word would have been KT. Last year he complained about coming off the bench behind EG while KT had some minor injuries. Currently it appears that MoT and Yao have some good chemistry coming off the bench together. KT is playing well with EG as the forward combo. I personally like KT at the 3. He causes alot of matchup problems and can easily move to the 4 when we need more speed and go small. Depth seems to be the key. I would not trade anybody right now.
It's a toss up between Glen Rice and Kenny Thomas but I would have to give the edge to KT... I think in his contract year he would be really pissed if he had to come off the bench for any length of time. My feeling is (and I am not saying he doesn't deserve to start, the verdict is still out on that) if KT is not good enough to start than we need to trade him because he will not be a happy camper riding the pine.
Why do I get the feeling that RR started this thread because he doesn't like Mo and is upset he is getting some praise? Mo hasn't complained about dwindling minutes and coming off the bench since he came to Houston, why would he now? I understand that you don't like Mo, but why rip Mo for something he has never shown? I mean he has never shown that will complain about his role with the Rockets. I think the person who will be the least happy would be KT, but I don't expect to hear him complain or anything. He's a team player.
I have heard many, many people on or near the 'inside' say that kenny was VERY surprised and upset that he wasn't renewed, and that his contract status is far and away his no. 1 priority this season... This may explain the shot-jacking...it may explain the new conditioning...but it would certainly explain why he'll freak out if his pt decreases...
For some reason, I'm thinkin KT. Rice and Taylor are veterans who understand the circumstances, but be prepared to hear Moochie whining about his decreased minutes soon- although he deserved it.
In my opinion, KT clearly is not a happy camper for some reason or another. On the court, he will make a few bonehead plays during the game and just stare at the referees for a good 2-3 seconds. It is the most frustrating thing to see this player, (whose game I respect a whole lot) be so distracted by something ($$$) that it affects his attitude on the court. It worked last year because all we did was play ISO. Now that we are focusing on passing the ball, this kind of erratic play needs to be thrown out the window. KT, I have faith you will get what you deserve come next year, just have fun out there and trust in your skills; and the TEAM concept. There's no I in TEAM.
LOL Eddie is gonna kill me I don't hate Mo T . . I was happy we signed him concerned bu happy. . . I just like what KT brings to the table and look at everyone wanting to run him out of town is ridicuous Tire people always screaming about POTENTIAL and WHAT COULD BE rather than what IS The whole KT is a Whiner thing is overblown and honestly . . . if i was him I'd be a little pissed if I did not get my future solidified. . . . If he blows out his knee . . . . what has he got? Career over? But he will be a soldier and KT will play through Rocket River
