The Rockets have had the deserved reputation for several years of being whiners.

Steve is the #1 whiner (during his career he's been a whiner)
    MoT is #2 (my opinion)
Cat is #3 (he has improved this year)
Cato is #4 (has really toned down this year)

Now Yao has started to learn this bad habit (didn't do it at all last season)

These guys whine too much to the refs and they let it show too much in the game. They are excuse makers and they whine alot.

Whiners are not mentally tough and they break down at the end of games and at the end of seasons.

Jeff Van Gundy is no whiner. When he came here all of his ex players said good thinks about his no excuse no nonsense approach. He came here preaching no more exuses.

Yes he has voiced concern over the lack of respects Yao gets because he must. Yao has earned respect and it is blatantly obvious that he is not getting the respect he has earned in the league from the refs. But I don't think he has whined.

Whine, whine, whine. You see it every game, I've seen it all throughout Steve's career.

This may be a rooted personality trait , I don't know.

But are we a mentally tough team. Are our players currently folding under pressure instead of stepping up with shear relentless determination to not be denied the playoffs?

Are we whiners? If we are I am fearful that we may finish 0-10 this season and I will be devestated as a fan.

    Hope I am wrong.

I thought the thread title was referring to the majority of GARM posters lately.

    Me too.

Hey, rhester, do you whine about about needless threads? I do.

Whining about whining, now that's a first. ;)

I confess I guess I'm caught up whining

    I whine about Steve
    I whine about turnovers
I whine about Yao being slow and lacking strength and stamina
I whine about Jim Jackson's recent rash of turnovers
I whine about Yao running out of gas at the end of the season and shooting a poor percentage
I whine about Yao not getting foul calls
I whine about opposing point guards penetrating our defense
    Whine, whine, whine

    I feel better now.

    :)

I wish the Clutch crew would put a moratorium on this garbage until summer.
