I'm having a Crawfish boil this weekend for some family and a few friends. I need about 60lbs.

I've purchased before at Airline Seafood on Richmond and I have a call into them right now but I'm waiting for a call back on the price.

I just called Hong Kong market off Belaire and they quoted me $2.99 per pound which is wayyyyy to high.

A friend told me he can get some for $2.00 per pound so that might be an option.

Last weekend I saw them for $1.50 per pound but that was in Orange, TX near the Louisiana border and I'd prefer not to drive all that way just to get my mudbugs.

Anyone know of any other places I should try?

If it comes down to going to Orange, let me know. I can tell you some places to try that are on the Houston side of Beaumont, that will probably be comparable and at least 40 minutes less to drive.

In houston, I would check the Asian markets. Most of them have crawfish.

In Austin, the only two places that has good quality crawfish is Sambets and Quality seafood.

During Lent / Good Friday it is insane. Usually it isn't bad at all. It should be over now.

Hong Kong Market $2.99 per pound.

Airline Seafood on Richmond $2.00 per pound

ABC Seafood in Seabrook. $2.00 per pound

I'm trying to call a couple other places in Seabrook but now it looks like I'm going to reserve some at Airline and save the gas driving to Seabrook.

    Thanks everyone.

Golden Seafood in Seabrook $1.59 per pound

If I get 2 sacks avg weight 70lbs.

    70 x $1.59 = $113

    70 x $2.00 = $140

$10 - $12 worth of gas to drive to seabrook + my time.... hmmmmm
