[Where is Francis?] Will Francis play a single game for the Grizzlies?

Grizzlies management also pumped out some garbage to justify the Gasol trade.

Think about it. When was the last time a team brought a player in to get a draft pick (or something along those lines like cutting payroll) and came out and admitted the real reason they made the move?

What you hear from management through the media is not usually what they talk about behind closed doors.

 

I am curious to see what number he’ll wear. He is previous numbers are in use.

It's not like the guys in front of him have been playing great. In fact, they have been pretty much a disappointment. Neither are an Aaron Brooks thats for sure. I wouldn't be surprised to see Francis playing with the 2nd unit. Of course they didn't make this deal to get Francis as their savior but I don't think they are above playing him. They recently signed Darius Miles so they are no strangers to giving guys another chance.

 

I tell you who has been a disappointment. Steve.

Hey steves mom, tell Steve we appreciate him for his play the first time around and we won't hate him for stealing 4 million from les cause if he's giving it away then you'd be crazy not to take it.

Also tell him we hope he can beat out the chinesee guards that are ahead of him on the shanghi sharks next year and we hope he makes the CBA all star game.

 

Oh great, Steve is gone but his crazy ass ex girlfriend still lurks around. Shouldn't you be on a Memphis board now?

These sort of comments spew from coaches and management with every transaction.

Sorry Steves mom but I've been a rockets fan my whole life and I've seen plenty of players of steves talent level come and go. I'm a fan of the team not just certain players.
