You are the GM...you are the big poppa pump, holler!...

    what you do NOW?

A.) I want to know what you stategy is?...(ex. just sit next to the phone for the next 3 to 4 weeks before doing anything..etc.)

B.) Do you play it safe or do wild thing?...

C.) Do you pick or get an established player thru trade?

    Great question.

As GM of the Rockets I would listen to all offers, and then draft Yao Ming.

You can not teach heigth, and this guy is a SKILLED tall player.

That is not something that comes along very often.

Yao can make the Rockets a Championship contender faster then any other play in the draft.

So......after telling all the other GM's thanks but no thanks.....

    The Rockets select...YAO MING...

    I second what DaDakota said.

To go further, though, I'd probably first dangle the 15 pick to see if Memphis will take it.

If that doesn't work I'd draft a player with high potential there (possibly Stoudemire if he is still around, possibly Nene, possibly that SF Peja clone - cant remember his name) and either keep him to develope or, package him with KT to see if it could land you either Odom or Lewis (if not, no big deal).

Finally, I'd see if there was a veteran PG/SG combo or a veteran bigman you could find with the exception just for leadership purposes.

To add to what DaDakota and JayZ750 posted,

I would also look to get aggressive with the #15 in the draft, i.e. package it with a player (sorry KT, Mooch) and try to move up into the lottery. My target would be the Clips' #8 pick, maybe Butler or Tsika would be available.

I would have the best Chinese negotiating team money could buy and they would be in or on their way to China right now trying to get Yao's status in Houston garunted if we decided to draft him. he needs to spend time in Houston during the off season if he is going to be an effective center for this team
