Obviously he was a brutal man, and no one in their right mind would like him.

When will these bombing ever stop. Its been how many years and we still have these random bombings, and if the US ever leaves what is going to stop the next brutal dictator from seizing power?

In some ways, the cold controlling hand of a tyrant makes for a better experience for the people than a democracy. In general democracy relies on a lot: a somewhat educated mass of people, high confidence of the people in a country, and above all trust. A fascist requires much less to instill control over people. In a sort of way Iraq is just a retelling of Lord of the Flies. Sadaam, as evil as he was did keep things under greater control than anything we can do right now. With the thin veiled notion of WMD's dismissed its kinda hard to swallow the fact that what we've done to that country is plunge it into this everlasting turmoil. Sometimes a necessary evil keeps things together. I'm not saying what we did was right or wrong, I'm not that ignorant. All in all, I think the only thing I can project is until a strong will (either by an individual or a group) is the only thing that can make the bombs stop. Will that happen in my lifetime? Probably not.
