I've often felt that a winning team needs a Vocal Leader (VL). In the 80's, LA had Magic, Sixers had Cheeks (I think), Boston had ? (who did the Celtics have?), Pistons had Isiah. In the 90's, Bulls had MJ & sometimes Quitten, the Rocks had Mario & to some degree Cassell, the Spurs had AJ, and the Lakers had ... no one that I can think of.

Who do you think the Rockets can look to as a VL or do you feel that it is not a necessity? I think Frances should be the VL for the team, but I don't feel that it's in his demeanor (kind of like Grant Hill). I feel that Cat can be the VL if he remains with the team. Other than those 2, I don't see anyone else filling the role that are currently on our team. I don't see Croshere or Lewis as VL either.

Cat and francis had that role this season, but I think cuttino is more adequate for this job,he was comfortable doing it and he inspired everyone, including steve.
