[Video Game] Watch Dogs

Isn't there like another game with the word dog in it too??? Like sleeping dogs or something?? I heard it's getting a good buzz as well...

That map has got to go, along with the car sound/animations. Other then that this is one of the most anticipated games for me!
Any dates revealed? Heard some rumors about 2014...

 

Someone, somewhere reported that it was 2 years away from being released. I speculated it was a misunderstanding of the statement that this has been in development for 2 years already, but I'm not sure. Wouldn't be surprised if it was 2014, especially since they seem to be targeting next-gen consoles.

Second trailer, this game has potential, looks sick

The first building (or set of two buildings) I saw on the first trailer is one I have a picture of on my phone from our trip to Chicago last Summer. Just a random building I thought looked cool.

Not sure if this is worth a thread bump, but the game, which was originally scheduled to be released in a few weeks (next-gen launch title) has now been delayed to Spring 2014 (some time after 4/1). The Crew has also been delayed.

Somewhat surprising given how close this was to launching (and recent marketing), but the game was looking pretty rough. I had it preordered, but bailed out a few weeks ago. Not sure I'll be interested in it even when it does end up releasing.

This was my sleeper hit for GotY - obviously, that wouldn't happen because GTA 5 is a thing.

I wonder if there are ulterior motives for delaying the game, besides what they've officially released. Perhaps they're using GTA 5 as a model of how good their sandbox game should be.

I'm not sure how good Watch Dogs will be after you complete the story though. You could play GTA 5 for months on months and not be bored, just because there's so much to do. Not sure if WD will follow in that same vein.

 

Not really surprised. The more they showed the less I was impressed, really felt like a modern assasins creed with having to hack the os system instead of climbing towers to see things on the map etc.

So many things wrong with that, why break the window in the first place if he doesn't reach inside the car, and of course window is still there.

I imagine it's a bunch of stuff like this that caused the delay.

 

That's crazy. Ya know, I can't say I'm too shocked though. They literally hadn't shown anything other than them hacking 1 person over and over. It wasn't impressive. It seems like they really blew their wad E3 2012 and haven't done anything beyond that. I hope it becomes an actual game.

 

Also I thought it was really weird Ubisoft was going to release both Watch Dogs and Assasins Creed 4 at the same time, guess they didn't want to hurt AC4 sales

 

I hate these Heavy Rain walk-through-a-movie games. Pass.

 

This is an open world third person game, nothing like Heavy Rain. It's more like GTA and AC series.
