OK so I'm about to finally buy a larger tv, upgrading from a 32 to a 54. I'm looking at a Panasonic Plasma tv.

The particular tv is the Panasonic Viera TCP54G10. Link

I've always been an LCD guy, but I like the upgrades that come with a Plasma. My main concern is the glare issue. The room is the living room which has light, but not overly bright, but I still worry about the glare. Any tips?

You wouldn't have to worry about this in a socialist country!

I guess I post so much in D&D that this is where I naturally posted. :(

Hope someone moves it for me.

But seriously, can anyone give me any idea on the plasma glare issues?

I had a plasma and glare was sometimes an issue for me too. I thought it was totally worth it, I much preferred it to LCDs. Just do what you can to minimize it. Face it away from windows, try to watch stuff at night...sorry, wish I had some actual tips for you.

Light/glare was not an issue for my plasma TV until I had to mount it about 4 1/2 feet off the ground. At that point, the light from the ceiling fan (this fan's lights came down to the same height as the top of the tv) reflected right off the screen. So now I watch TV with the lights off at night. I had the TV in two other rooms before that (once mounted on the wall about 4 feet high and once on a stand about 2 feet high) and never had an issue.
