Hey guys, I need some advice.

My wife works for an individual who often attends charity events and passes down gala and event tickets to his employees. I'll probably have to attend one of these events every year or two.

We have one coming up soon. Do you think I should rent a tuxedo, or pony up and buy one?

And if you suggest buying one, where can I get a quality tux that doesn't look like a rental that won't break the bank?

Check out used Tuxedos at places like The Men's Wearhouse. A friend of mine found one somewhere for less then the cost of a rental. (Sorry, I don't remember the details)

I don't own one because I NEVER have to wear one, but if I were going to have to wear one a couple times a year, I would definitely buy it. If you are going to have to wear the monkey suit, it should at least be comfortable and stylish. :)

If you decide to buy one, don't forget you might get fat and then have to sell it for pennies on the dollar...

ive bought a pretty sweet one at Foleys about a year ago for like $110 and loved it. I bought it for a wedding anniversary party and havent worn it since. But its there if I need it for a job interview or another wedding to go to. :)

Just keep your eyes open, they'll have a decent one to buy.
