Where do you park at the TC these days? I assume $5 Houston Center parking is no longer available. Anyone got any on-the-cheap tips? Gonna see Shane this Friday. Don’t mind walking a long way.

I usually park on side streets for free and walk to TC. It might be several blocks of walking but beats paying for parking.

I'm not super cheap, but I see zero reason to pay $10 for parking. I find it comical when I see several parking spaces free next to a parking lot that's charging $10. And these are for the ones further out, those parking lots closer to TC are really charging a premium. I rather save that money to use elsewhere.

If you're a true tightwad like me, you can find free street parking after 5. This is usually more around the Main St area so you may have to walk but you can always find a place to eat on the way. I'd rather walk a little farther than park close and have to deal with the traffic trying to get out of there.

    You're paying with your time.

However, the farther away you park the less traffic you will deal with. Just ask Clark Griswold.

    Time is fleeting

Also, as a man who became totally unaccustomed to Houston August humidity...

Last time I went to a Stros game (was with my Houston buddy's brother who had never visited him for these purposes), we parked over by 8th Wonder Brewery and played outdoor bocce for a couple of hours before the 7PM game. My t-shirt is soaked with sweat. Time to walk to the game, so NYC guy and I walk back to the truck, get fresh shirts out, put on sprayable goldbond where needed, lay the old ones in the back, and proceed to walk shirtless 8 blocks? to to stadium. Put on the fresh shirts about a block away.

When I go with my old man, I usually park two blocks away around Austin St and Leland / Pease and pay $15 bucks to one of those app based services during the regular season. They jack it up to like $20/$25 during the playoffs.

    Hey fb!

Fannin at Clay has free street parking. It’s a perfectly safe walk, since Clay leads directly into TC. That’s where I always parked. Also, no trees on that block. assuming the birds are still downtown, you do not want to park under a tree.

If I can't find free street parking, there's a little $15 lot on Leeland and Crawford that's only a block away. Right behind the little Chinese restaurant. I think it's called China Garden. You pay by app.

Or you could valet at The Rustic for only $10. Go in, have a drink, then walk to TC.

Does Ninfas on Navigation do shuttle service to TC like they do to Stros games?

    Wow, that’s cool.

Rockets games have shuttle service from bars in Eado. I wonder if they do it for TC concerts, too..
