Did you know that the only difference between drinking on St. Paddy's day and Cinco de Mayo is that nobody would ever pretend to be a Mexican?

    am I being redundant?

I like when people say stuff like 'the only difference' when there are actually a ton of differences.

St pattys day is march 17th, I am pretty sure Cinco de mayo is May 5th. Green is a theme on st pattys day and I am pretty sure 99% of people who celebrate it dont know why they are celebrating it. Cinco de mayo is about The Battle of Puebla and actually isn't even a big deal in Mexico. It's not Mexican independence day (Sep 16th) and is a celebration of underdogs (Mexico over France). There is no color theme (outside mexican flag colors) for Cinco de Mayo.

Unless your Bi-Polar and your drug is weed (which isn't a drug compared to bad stuff such as heroin, cocaine and countless legal yet evil prescription drugs)

I always thought Cinco De Mayo was Swoly 's birthday and people go out and get drunk in order to forget about him?!?

Yeah, as an Irish descendant, it really pisses me off.

You can drink on my holiday- because technically everyday is a holiday somewhere-but don't you dare say you're Irish if you're not.

And for the milllionth time, corn beef and cabbage is not Irish food!

I am not Irish nor do I have any inclination to pass myself off as one,
but if I was Irish and someone decided to pass him/herself off as one
I would not get upset one iota. They say "Imitation is the highest form
of flattery", but if this individual did things to shame or degrade my Iris
ancestry then a 2x4 would come in handy! (Walking Tall);)
