    Wait a minute: when Mr. Miyagi rescued Daniel-san in the original, he was taking on five or six legitimate street toughs. A gang of high school seniors versus one withered old Japanese immigrant? Typically, advantage, high school seniors.

    Based on the preview, I don't care how good at karate they are, Jackie Chan is beating up little kids. Little Chinese kids who haven't even touched puberty. I don't care how much of jerks they are against Dreadlocks here, but this is a a hilarious outtake from Bad Santa, not a heroic gesture.

    Hollywood is getting lazy: just a bunch of bad sequels and bad remakes.

    And oh, by the way, Karate is from Japan, not China...real lazy.

    In some religions, cows are sacred. In other religions, it's a woman's virginity. These movies, no matter how cheesy they were at the time, are sacred. I hope, for the sake of our children, that this karate kid is better than the 'Can't buy me love' remake.

    Yep. Ralph Macchio is THE Karate Kid in my mind. The remake is probably halfway decent but I can't stand the remake trend in Hollywood right now.
