So, I'm here to admit it. I'm addicted to 24. I've just started the 13th episode in a row. I started at 4:00 p.m. on the second day. I'm four hours away from the conclusion. I'll then step into the shower, go grab breakfast, and continue my contract job at the law firm. When it's all said and done, I will have watched 16 episodes in a row, and I'll be one groggy mofo today. I do believe that this is the best television series ever. I want to be Jack Bauer.
Hello, my name is VesceySux [pauses for group greeting]... and I'm also addicted to the Jack Bauer Power Hour. Mostly, though, I'm just addicted to Elisha Cuthbert.
I'm honestly not sure how I'm going to handle season 3. I won't be used to watching the episodes with commercials then having to wait a whole friggin' week to see what happens. Maybe I'll just wait for the DVD.
The first episode will not have commercials... Took you a while didn't it RM? I mean your own boss had to be telling you it was good.
Yeah, each season, I ended up missing the first couple of episodes so I decided not to jump in late. Man, I'm struggling bad this morning. Worth it though!
Thats what I end up doing. it becomes too difficult to catch and watch every minute of it every week. I tried with the First Season, and ended up taping the last 6 hours and watching them at my leisure after the season ended. I flatout didnt even try the 2nd one...I waited till it came out on DVD. Which is what I shall do with the 3rd. I wouldnt even dream of not watching it...the best show on TV in ages. Those TV execs that are scratching their heads about why the viewers arent watching anymore need to look to 24 to see what quality programming really looks like.
Wasn't there a big thread about the season finale last season? I looked for it, but all I could find was one started by drapg, but the last post in the thread was in February, I believe.
Searched for you and found this thread. It is most likely the one you want: http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51715
My name is drapg. I, too, am hopelessly addicted to "24." I bought Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD and have flown through them in the past two weeks. The agony in waiting for Season 3 to begin has been excruciating, just as is the seven days between episodes. I am so addicted, that I ordered DirecTV TIVO today so that I could record all the shows, because of my hectic work schedule, which has forced me to stay at work past 12am the last two days. I refuse to miss an episode of "24" and will pay any amount of money (hence the newly added TIVO in my living room) to assure of that fact.
Oh, and everytime a commercial for season 3 has been aired, I have quickly changed the channel, so as not to ruin any surprises. I hate FOX's method of giving up too much plot in the "on next week's episode" summary at the end of each episode in the first two seasons. I want to enter each episode untainted from spoilers.
Yes, yes it is. Thanks Castor. I found it when I saw a post from DCKid in that Elliot Smith thread. Good read after finally watching the two seasons. I friggin' can't wait for Tuesday. And I am so delirious right now. Is it 3:45 yet?
RM95, I refuse to watch anything on network television, other than sports and cartoons. As a fellow HBO programming fan, is "24" as good as Six Feet Under, Autopsy, Real Sports, etc.?
Only "The Sopranos" ranks higher on my list of television shows. Actually, those are the only two shows I watch (besides "Playmakers") I already gots season 4 of "The Sopranos" ordered and waiting to be delivered on Tuesday. With the new season of "24", the new "Sopranos" DVD, football, and start of basketball season, I am never gonna leave my living room again.
Better than Six Feet Under!?!?! And with that, I'm sold. Gonna check it out this weekend. Thanks dude.
Granted, I am speaking after watching 16 straight episodes in a 12-hour period, so maybe I'm a little biased right now. They're totally different shows, so maybe it's not good to compare them.
They're both excellent shows. 6ft is drama drama and 24 is action drama... either way though.... you win by watching.
