OK, the ultimate mystery of the universe. Why do Tejano stations always seem to get good reception? The room I work in is surrounded by concrete, so I get almost zero radio reception, so I have to listen to CDs....but dammit if every single Tejano station doesn't come in perfectly crystal clear baffles the mind....
I always thought the mystery of the universe was where do your socks go after you put them in the dryer.
I love Univision (or is it Telemundo?). I don't think I've EVER turned it on and NOT seen some fabulous half-naked babe jumping around in a g-string while the studio audience waves pom-poms and some fat guy dressed as a clown is running around in the background with an air horn. If that ain't a recipe for high ratings... Those guys "get it".
Tejano radio stations get good reception because they find the really good stations that sprout up in the place I happen to be living and buy up that frequency... or is that just me?

Funniest post of the day. Have any of you ever listened to the Carlos Martinez show about sex on La Tremenda 1010, Houston Or some of the other Spanish talk shows on the radio. If CArlos Martinez was in English, the bible thumpers would be stroking out. They have finally moved old Carlos to the late night. He used to be on for the kiddies to listen to in the afternoon drive home hours.
Music and People of Latin Descent have an ability to slip through borders and boundaries!!! J/j I love Spanish music actually. The best stations in Houston are 107.9 and 100.7. I like more the rock/pop in spanish versus that of the Tejano and Salsa crap !! Any of you all ever heard of Moenia, Morbo, Kabah or Sentidos Opuestos??
I've listened to that sex show on 1010 before. Yeah, it gets pretty explicit to say the least. I also like how on the morning show on 1010 they have people call in, give a 20 second personal ad looking for love for themselves, and then GIVE OUT THEIR CELL PHONE NUMBER on the air. Unbelievable...
