http://www.yelp.com/biz/taqueria-ruby-houston Open 24 hours. Damn good tacos. No margaritas, but it's near my house so I could sell yall some shots of bourbon.
Depends on who you and your friends are: High schooler in the loop: Torchy's (open til 10) Suburbanite/high schooler outside the loop: Whataburger, BWW, Domino's, just do us all a favor and stay out of the city please Washington Tool: Benjy's closes at 11. Otherwise get your ass out of Washington without getting a ticket (I recommend Uber) and go to one of the other places on this list. Midtown Tool: Mai's Downtowner: Hearsay (kitchen open until 2 at least) Sloppy Downtowner: Frank's Pizza Hipster: Tierra Caliente by Alabama Ice House (open til they run out of food, usually midnight-ish), Sandy Witch at the back of Grand Prize (open until 1? This is the latest I've eaten there), Rice Box (closes around midnight-1ish) Stroller Hipster: Petrol Station (kitchen closes at 11), Cedar Creek, go home and put your crying baby to bed. Middle aged: 59 Diner, Shepherd Park (Does Leon's Lounge serve food?) Senior: Go to bed, seriously. Luby's Early Bird Special doesn't happen for another 16 hours. If you are dressed up with your friends, I would go to Hearsay. I've been there with different types of crowds and never been disappointed.
We had a slight change of plans so we ended up going to Hay Merchant and grabbed something to eat there. Appreciate the suggestions. I googled most of them and saved some for next time. On a side not, i wish Houston was more of a 24hr city.
