Would anybody really change their driving habits with a $1 (it is close to $3 now) price increase over what it is now? I would hate to pay it but I do not think I would.
Does anyone know how serious the gov't is about an alternative fuel source? What has been done to look into it? I just dont see how we change to something else, when our gov't has its hands in oil companies thus all that $$$.
well relying on the govt to do something quickly and effectively is usually a bad idea. that being said, there were tons of people who thought last summer there would be $5 gas.
Yeah - you'll see vacations go down and tourism suffer. I'm driving out to see a wedding over Memorial Day weekend, and it's going to top $200 for me to go Atlanta and back. That's getting tough. But flights are just as bad. Evan
uhhhh nothing? Oil companies sell oil. The more expensive the oil that is sold, the higher amount of income is generated. What is wrong with making money?
exactly, why does everyone always think it's crazy that you make more money when your main product is selling at high prices. when else would you make record profits?
I already have in conjunction with our budget. I'm left with $20 to spend on gas until next payday so I'm begging peeps to come to my house tonight to watch the game.
There isn't much of a decrease in the usage of petroleum. Demand is high, refineries are at high output, the price is high.
