    ... who owns it and who sets the laws?

    I've wondered about this since childhood.

    Rules of the thread:

    - Try to be objective.
    - Obviously, assume this is ages away and that it's now time to just begin considering mass migration.
    - Assume no one owned the moond before (specifically aliens).

    No one's claimed it to avoid toe-stepping. But when it's time to go there, someone's got to set the rules. I foresee a messy messy problem triggered by the first person to claim a piece of the moon.

    So the answer is clear, whoever buys the majority of the moon off this site is majority owner of the moon.
