Fans-Most of them are really good, don't let a few bad apples ruin the rest.

    Loves UT and Austin.

Doesn't want anyone jumping on his bandwagon this year. (Ironically, I jumped on at halftime of the CU game when the "fans" were booing him)

Coach and team believe in him and that's all that matters.

Would be lying if he said it wouldn't be easier without Applewhite this year, but honestly didn't think about it all that much.

Agrees he should've been pulled in the CU game.

Roy Williams is the greatest athlete he's ever played with. UT's got 4 other guys, including Johnson and Thomas, that would star at any other school.

Brown tells them to think about OU a little bit everyday.

People have posted his cell phone number and encouraged people to call him to tell him how bad he sucks. Called it "bull crap" when they get his family involved in anyway.

The "fans" who posted his number on the 'Net are worthless pieces of garbage. If you're so ticked off at the way a guy plays in a game that you have to humiliate him and his family and potentially put them in danger then you're not a fan, you're just some sick human being. I never understood booing a player who is playing hard but just not playing well. But I have to say again, if you have to post a guy's number on the internet because you don't like the way he played and you call up him and his family to harass them then you're just one sick piece of garbage who needs a life.

Hhahaha at least Mack's not trying to hide from OU this year like that game last year when he wouldn't let the stadium announce the OU / TT score!

Agreed. I don't particularly have a problem with booing (I think a lot of it is really directed at the coaches) - that's your right as a paying fan - but anything beyond that is out of line. And doing stuff like this is way way way way way past that line.

I heard the interview and it was okay I guess. He had no choice but to take responsibilty for the CU game he sucked that night like he does in every big game. I also thought it was cute when he talked about the bandwagon. He doesn't have to worry though b/c after the OU game Ut's season will be over like it has been every time over the last several years. I went to college in the Austin area (Southwestern Univ.) and every time I went down to 6th street I'd meet a drunk UT student who would tell me that Simms is an @$$ and walks around on campus like he's the shiznit even though he can't win an important game to save his life. But if he wants, he can make it to the championship game and get crushed by new alma mater Univ. of Miami

However, those people who ripped his cell phone # and posted it on the net are straight up jerks! Just boo him and talk bad about him on the net (hey!;) ), don't put him or his family in jepardy.

Oh man you gotta feel for what "fans" did to Simms.

    - published cell # and e-mail on the internet

    - keyed his Escalade

    - some moron spray painted "Sims Sucks" on Barton Skyway (?)

probably some other crappy stuff too.

Just like the CU game in October, when both teams were in the top 15 and Simms passed for over 250 yards, 3 TD's, and 0 INT's, right?

Or the A&M game in College Station (at the time was for a BCS bowl) where he played a game with no interceptions against a very good defense in a wind over 30 miles per hour?

did he say how many INT's he'd throw Oct. 12th, or how many they would lose by?

It's possible to suck without throwing an INT. Simms did so in that game. He was a non-factor.

Yeah, c'mon TheFreak...Major wouldn't have done anything either. In fact, just two years earlier, he couldn't even play cause his tummy hurt.

That's a good point, maybe the fans are booing because the coach/manager is running the player out there. And fans do have a right to boo, I completely agree with that.
