I bought a suit in New York 19 days ago from a store called SuitSupply, a very good store. I asked after alterations that it be shipped to Houston. They said it would be shipped by May 18 at the latest.

Fast forward. May 17 and no suit. I call the store and ask for a tracking number. They said they'll find the suit and get back to me.

    They never called me back.

Then I send my brother who lives in NYC to the store to sort out the situation.

They tell him the same, still no call back.

Today I called corporate customer service, they tell me it will be shipped today and I'll receive a tracking number.

    Still haven't heard anything.

At this point should I just call chase and dispute the charge? It's a $750 suit so it's not cheap, but I just feel they are giving me the run around, OR they honestly have no idea where the suit is.

$750 for a suit? Is it Calvin Klein or something? I can't recall paying for a suit at that cheap of a price ever. Not making fun just sayin'. I wish I could find a quality suit that cheap. I'd wait it out a few more days since you've already waited this long.

sounds like more headache to dispute it than to wait for the suit, but whatever makes you feel better.

Use your frequent flier miles to fly back to NYC and claim what is yours.

I would try and get a discount from the store first for all the hassle. Threaten to dispute the charge for leverage. If he gives you a discount, wait it out. If it doesn't come in the next couple of days, call your bank. Disputes with credit cards are easy; it's the debit card that have problems.

All my suits were $200 or lower. I think all from Macy's. Reasonably good quality, made of wool at least. I couldn't ever stomach paying $750 for a suit.

Are you being sarcastic? If not, someone needs to give me advice why I would need to buy such an expensive suit. I'm thinking if I am a President or CEO of a company I should be able to afford it, but other than that, when does it make sense to buy something that expensive (serious question).

You could have them back out the charges, until they ship the suit and give you a shipping number.

If I recall correctly, LonghhornFan is bigtexxx's chaffeur. Since bigtexxx (who lives in River Oaks) wears at minimum 3000 USD suits- his driver (LF) should at minimum be wearing a suit that costs half of that.

One of the dumbest things I've ever read from you. You're better than this, or maybe you're trolling for rep. Anyways...

El Pigito- I don't own suits for every day use. I'm fortunate enough that at my job, even being a senior adviser, it's dress up, but no suit attire. I have maybe 12 suits. I like to dress nice, yes and I'm a shoeaholic, lulz. I also attend many, many suit and tie functions in Houston, many social events, grand openings, parties etc. thanks to my wife. If I had it my way that **** would stop because it's exhausting and pretty much a gay ass popularity contest for adults, but a happy wife is a happy life. I'm not ragging on his suit, I was actually impressed by that link and wish we had a store like that as I find spending $2k+ on a suit ridiculous, but you get what you pay for. When I buy a suit I want nice fabric that is breathable, a perfect fitted suit, something that I know will last, an excellent tailoring job, etc. because I HATE, HATE, HATE clothes shopping, especially for suits. Finding one, trying it on, trying multiple others, the fitting, the going back for the fitting, the whole process sucks.

The suits I own are Tom Ford, Zegna, Brooks Brothers (The one I hate) Armani and Canali. If I could find a suit with great quality that I knew would last for the long term for half of the price I'd totally be down for that. It would save me more money for some blaze.
