After another impressive performance by Cookie Monster tonight (16 rebounds) I got to thinking how big he's been for us lately. Then I started thinking if he should receive some sort of recognition for this. I mean after all, the guy is 40 (on paper). The Rockets played three games last week. (Dec 31-Jan 6). In roughly 29 mpg Deke has avg 6ppg, 14rpg and 2bpg! And that's not even counting the 14 boards he has vs ATL and the 16 he pulled down tonight. I don't know who won Western Conference player of the week, but the old man has continuing to step it up in Yao's abscence.
KG won it because he led the Wolves to 4-0 whereas McGrady (or Mutumbo) only pulled out a measly 3-1 without their useless starting All-Star MVP candidate center. I think the award should have gone to Dikembe Mugrady JL (Juwan+Luther) the 3rd.
