Could we use him? I believe that the Rockets were interested in him during, or after the Jackson offer. He's young & 6'11" 250 lbs. His stats are about the same as Cato's (for what that matters). However, he couldn't keep a job on the center starved Nuggets. Anybody got any thoughts on him?

Big guy, hard worker, good guy, NO TALENT. Avery Johnson absolutely loves him. Honestly, I'm kind of disappointed we cut him, but we wanted to see what Chris Andersen could do. Surprised we kept Zendon Hamilton over Scott. Wouldn't be a bad pickup for you guys. Isn't a bad pickup for anyone that's interested.

Here's what the Nugs had to say:

    NUGGETS WAIVE SCOTT, ACTIVATE ANDERSEN

The Denver Nuggets have waived center Shawnelle Scott and have activated forward Chris Andersen from the injured list, team General Manager Kiki Vandeweghe announced today.

Scott, 6-11, 250, appeared in 21 games for the Nuggets, starting 10 times. He averaged 3.9 ppg and 4.9 rpg in 12.0 minutes per contest. He scored a season-high nine points at Indiana on Dec. 4 and grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds vs. San Antonio on Dec. 18. The fourth-year veteran signed as a free agent with the Nuggets on Oct. 13.

Andersen has been on the injured list since Dec. 4 with a strained left shoulder. He has appeared in one game this season.

Denver's roster now stands at 12 active players, with Antonio McDyess and Tariq Abdul-Wahad on the injured list.

We allready have Cato, Willis, and Collier who are all backup caliber (or worse) centers. I dont really see the need to pick up another one.

Can he catch the ball and not get blocked by the net? That would help us win games.

If we want a hard worker, though, I think it's time to bring back the Pig. OINK!
