so I guess that means that if we nuked him, he'd still survive??

    ;)

seriously tho, if he survives this war...will Bush try to get him tried as a war criminal? and do you think he would get convicted if they do?

And you know what, this has been his strategy all along. He thinks that somehow he will survive. It's almost self fulfilling. Makes you think a bit. But I still think we'll get him in the end.

Iraqi Republican Party announced that Saddam and one son are trying to get to Mosul, other son dead. Don't know about credibility of that report.

FWIW, the British intel report was from yesterday.

Isnt Saddam's bunker strong enough to withstand any bombs, even nukes?

    Source was the Lebanese Press.

You known Saddam went their with guns pointed. It's not like the Russians would have really had a choice in the matter.

Based on the state of current US/Russia relations I wouldn't be surprised if they allowed him in to try and provide him safe haven and eventual exile just to spite us.

They are very bitter that their envoy drove into the middle of a fire fight and took some damage.

Let's hope this report is not true and the situation between the US/Russia doesn't deteriorate.

I wish I was shocked hearing that Russia is helping Saddam but I'm not. Bad news, is that Saddam survived. The good news is that it guarantees that Russia will have NOTHING to do with the new Iraq and that has to be a big slap in their face.

Too bad he couldn't get into the French embassy that would have been a good excuse to take care of business.

As long as he is in there and there are no tunnels out then we should be ok. No way we let him walk out of there.

It seems worse that you'd let someone come into your embassy than simply not supporting a war. The former should be viewed as an act of war unless the Russians are simply waiting to give him up to someone else.

The Russians should be much more hated the French right now.

Of course, this all assumes that this is true...even though them supplying Iraq with weapons is very troubling as well.
