Rowdies Night Off?

    I have a dream..

    The Rockets run a promotion called "Rowdies Night Off." They run a giveaway / bar special so irresistable that both bowls are completely full and decked out in Rocket red from head to foot 15 minutes prior to tip off.

    Every seat but the Rowdies section.

    At 3 minutes in the first quarter when Battier goes out, the Rowdies enter the arena in business suits, reading newspapers and talking on cell phones. They walk across the court to an ever-rising swell of crowd noise. The crowd rolls for the rest of the night in playoff-intensity waves of fury, pummelling the opposing team into submission.

    Anyway, just had to get that off my chest....

    Funny you should mention this. Feb. 28 will be Red Rowdy night. The Rockets are going to extend offers to dozens or maybe hundreds of additional crazy fans. The idea is to turn the entire arena into one big Red Rowdy section.

    I haven't heard how they plan to do the tickets. Will they be given away? Discounted? I'm not sure yet. I'll find out and report back.
