rockets trade picks

    rockets should try to get some type of power forward any way they can. we should trade a next year 1st round pick for someone who is respectable. since we weren't a playoff team last season this would work best now. if we don't own our 1st round pick this year then next year. i wouldn't mind seeing rockets pass up 2 picks for a decent pf.

    We can't trade this year's first round pick, the league prohibits a team from trading first round picks in consecutive years.

    Quick clarification: The rule prevents trading futureconsecutive first round picks. If you already made a pick, you can still trade it. The Rockets can't trade their 2004 first round pick until they make it...

    quick trivia question: Name the person after whom that rule was named??

    I believe this came about after Webber was traded from the Bullets for 3 First Round picks.

    Could be wrong though.
