They ask the Rockets some questions and post their answers. The question below was.."If you were a coach, what element of the game would you stress the most to your team?" http://www.nba.com/rockets/fans/Inside_The_Rockets__November_-28443-34.html Pay particular attention to some of their answers it tells a lot about them as players. <I>"I’m not going to sit here and lie and say defense because I’m an offensive player. I’d probably stress shooting drills and working on your offensive moves."</I> - Cuttino Mobley. Mobley is such a Mobley hater.
Anyone else think that it is funny that Steve and Moochie both said defense. ROTFL. I also think Cato may have seen the light. He came in out of shape and stunk up the joint. Now that he has gotten himself into good shape, he is contributing like we all hoped he could. Maybe next year instead of bashing Mobes for being such a gym rat, he will be in there with him.
I always like reading those "Inside the Rockets" features. 1 question they asked was "Why do you have the number you have now?" And I thought Cat's answer was kind of cool, not sure how true it is though... Apparently he's #5 because he was the 41st pick in the draft. (4+1 = 5)
With Mobley's quickness, he could be a very pesky defender. Hopefully one day (sooner the better) he will put effort into that part of his game. I could see Mobley leading the league in steals if he were to commit himself. I look no further than Rick Fox to see what commitment to defense can do for your game. I think Jackson was able to persuade Fox into being one of the best role players in the league. He went from an average player to a guy that can alter a game at certain times through pure effort. Let's hope one or two of the Rocket's players has an Iverson type revelation soon. It could turn this team around.
Am I missing something? Tmo was a 4 year player. Besides, I think that's the best advice anyone can give. If you're not having fun or you don't like your job, then quit.
