    This. The entire town is left looking like a giant trashcan every weekend. If people could, you know, not be f***ing drunken slobs, this wouldn't happen.

    Does this just kill their economy? I don't know, but the taxpayer money that goes to clean up the rivers will be gone if their economy crumbles. There won't be any taxpayer money in the first place.

    It's still legal to drink booze on the river - it's just not as convenient because of the ban against cans and bottles (an effort to keep the river clean).

    I think it's very understandable.
