Republican attendees removed for calling Black CNN camerawoman an "animal"

The Republican National Convention ejected two attendees for throwing peanuts at a Black CNN camerawoman and saying, "that is how we feed the animals."

Police immediately removed the two attendees, and officials with the Republican National Convention quickly distanced themselves from the incident.

"Two attendees tonight exhibited deplorable behavior," the statement read. "Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated."

The incident was witnessed by several media members, including MSNBC and Current Host David Shuster. Shuster tweeted about the incident.

CNN confirmed the incident took place, adding that they will work with convention officials to address the matter. They declined to comment further about the incident.
