    Pretty sure there was already a thread for the remake but search isn't active right now.

    Anyway, could this actually turn out decently?

    Thanks for sharing. Looks very good, and I think it'll do better than the Jason remake, which was just okay...

    That being said, Freddy looks/sounds too much like Kevin Bacon from Hollow Man, and that sucks. I think he is too skinny and small. The movie might suffer from having no Robert Englund...

    I wonder how Michael Bay will incorporate his over the top explosions in this movie

    Robert Englund isn't a tall guy either. Freddy vs Jason billed Freddy as 5'8" and 160 lbs. Jackie Earle Haley is 5'6" so it's not a huge difference. And Freddy was never about size or brawn. He never tried to fight anyone in the material world so it really didn't matter. He could manipulate and change his body in the dream world if he needed to.

    It looks great; and it'll probably make a decent amount for the April dead zone. As well written as I think Parts I and III were, the old ones' production values don't seem to have held up; so having Bay on board could probably help with that.

    I wish I were young again and could still suspend disbelief enough to be scared and excited by these movies.
