Reports say that a fight broke out in the stands during the fourth quarter and some fans along with a few players were pepper sprayed!! link to images can you imagine paying $50+ to go to a game, then get pepper sprayed? link to story
Yeah, I remember thinking to myself, "nation's capitol...monday night football...whole country watching...ref saying a foreign substance was sprayed." At first, that was a pretty big scare. As for the game, my confidence in the Redskins and Spurrier took a serious hit. I don't think it's something they can't come back from, but my goodness! That was a total ass-whoopin' they received. And the thing that surprises me most is not how ineffective the Skinz offense was, but how ineffective their defense was! I thought their D was going to be their strength! BTW, McNabb is a freakin' badass...just in case anyone didn't already know.
Nothing says quality entertainment like being pepper sprayed and physically restrained by the cops at a sporting event! And what's up with the cheerleaders? I turned to the game just as it ended, but did the cheerleaders accidently go onto the field during a play or something?
I've often wanted to use pepper spay on redskin & eagles fans. The security officer must have been a Cowboys fan.
It's not really fair the way this has been covered. Cops used pepper spray and it hit those giant fans, sending the spray everywhere. Not once last night did anyone mention the fans on TV. They were mentioned briefly in the AP report, but the way everyone is talking, you'd think the officers used fire extinguisher-size cans of spray to end that fight. While watching the game last night, all I could say was "the spray had to have gone through those friggin' fans," and it took until a wire report today to finally back me up. Weird game.
