As we argue the merits of Slavery reparations, why is the media not coming down on this elected official for his comments? Slap white people, because it would help their mental health....HUH? Well, good questions, I guess the whites that were conquered as Greeks were enslaved, then you have the Germanic whites that were conquered by Rome and enslaved....then the......ah.....what was your point again? Slavery is not about skin color it has happened to all ethnic groups over the course of human history, it is just that most groups are not WHINING about reparations for it. DD
You brought this back up again, why? However, you should agree with my sentiment about the post I originally responded to. It was someone WHINING about being white or straight being unfashionable. As it stands, I responded dumbly to a dumb comment. The thread was rightfully closed. You're just trying to start it all back up. It is true that people of all ethnicities have been enslaved throughout the ages. We're talking about America though. If you don't think that white people would be doing the same thing if the situation was reversed, you're wrong.
RM95, I am trying to make a point about racism and how it is hardly limited to one race. Not to mention the double standard of how it is ok for certain races to say something but not others. I got your point, but I used it to illustrate the fact that all races have been enslaved at one point or another in history. DaDakota
Where have I ever claimed that only white people can be racist? I've only claimed that on the whole, white people in America have never been slaves or victims of discrimination.
